Tasmania’s population data platform shows key details about the state's changing population in a clear and visual format. We aim to use expanded population data and analysis to guide policy and program development to improve planning, infrastructure and services delivery, liveability and wellbeing outcomes.

Phase 1 of the data platform currently features two dashboards.

The Population Projections dashboard, which provides population predictions at the State, regional, and Local Government Area level for all years until 2053.

The Workforce Compass combines demographic, education, and labour market data. It lets users explore workforce trends and insights across Tasmania's regions.

In future phases, we will keep improving the dashboards' information and features. The data platform will remain a live tool with relevant and up-to-date information.
